Creating Your Account

Getting started with Byline takes less than a minute. Here's how to create your account and start building professional email signatures.

Visit the sign-up page — Go to app.byline-app.com and click the Register tab.

Enter your details — Provide your name, email address, and choose a password (at least 8 characters).

Verify your email — Check your inbox for a verification email and click the link. You have a 15-day grace period to verify, but some features will be limited until you do.

Start creating — Once logged in, you'll see the Signatures home page. Click New Signature to create your first one.

Corporate email? If you register with a corporate email (e.g., [email protected]), Byline may automatically create or connect you to your company's team workspace. You'll see it appear in the tenant switcher in the top navigation bar.

Verifying Your Email

Email verification confirms you own the address you registered with. A verification link is sent to your inbox when you sign up.

  • Grace period — You can use Byline for 15 days without verifying. After that, you'll need to verify to continue creating or editing signatures.
  • Resend link — If you didn't receive the email, look for the verification banner at the top of the app and click Resend.
  • Check spam — Verification emails come from Byline. Check your spam or junk folder if you don't see it in your inbox.

Navigating the App

Byline's interface is organized around a simple navigation bar at the top of the screen:

  • Logo — Click to return to the Signatures home page.
  • Tenant Switcher — Switch between your personal workspace and any team workspaces you belong to. Shows "Personal" by default.
  • Signatures — Your main workspace. View, create, and manage all your email signatures.
  • Team(Business plans only) Manage your team members, domains, and settings.
  • Plan Badge — Shows your current plan.
  • Profile Menu — Click your avatar to access your profile, see what's new, reset guided tours, or log out.

The Guided Tour

When you first log in, Byline offers a guided tour that highlights key areas of the app. The tour uses spotlight overlays to walk you through each feature step by step.

  • Automatic — Tours start automatically when you visit a page for the first time.
  • Dismissible — Click outside the spotlight or press Escape to skip a tour.
  • Resettable — Want to see tours again? Open the Profile menu and select Reset Tours, or go to Profile > Preferences.
  • Role-aware — The tours adapt to show you only what's relevant to your role (personal user, team member, or admin).

Understanding Your Workspace

Byline has two types of workspaces:

Personal Workspace

Your default workspace. Create signatures for your own use with your personal email address. Available to everyone.

Team Workspace

A shared space for your organization. Admins create corporate signatures that team members can use and customize. Requires a Business plan.

You can switch between workspaces using the tenant switcher dropdown in the navigation bar. Your personal signatures and team signatures are completely separate — changes in one workspace don't affect the other.

Upgrade to Business Team workspaces with corporate signature management, domain verification, and multi-brand support are available on the Business plan.
